Wahoo Fish Tacos in Costa Mesa

They over complicate tacos. Cole slaw, kimchi and lettuce on tacos??? Come on. Its not that difficult. Maybe some onions or cilantro. Maybe some red or green sauce. And that's all you need.

One of the few places in this side of the mall to eat. This wahoo's has the best service always super quick and friendly. Ordered the loaded chicken nachos delicious. Can't go wrong with their iced tea here too. Will be back

Boy named Anthony was SO SWEET! we had to sit a while away from where Wahoos was (next to Soma and chicos) and they brought the food to us! it was so awesome and Anthony was treating us as if we where his 1# priority!! Amazing!

The food was delicious, as always, and the margarita was exactly what the doctor ordered. Food arrived quickly and the server followed up twice to make sure we had everything we needed.

Wahoo's is about Picton, not the menu, food or service. I was there with 5 friends and my order arrived last, and was the only on that ordered that often. Guess what I had ordered. Yup, you guessed it: dos tacos pescado.

Always get the spicy fish quesadilla with 2 guacs and it's always good. Great price too, like $8 - sometimes the tables are slightly sticky but other than that, pretty good

The classic version of the tacos was very small. The pieces of the fish were almost nonexistent. The citrus one were big and had good topping, but the breaded part had hard, granulated parts which felt like the batter was not mixed well. The best part was the sauces especially Maria's Green sauce.

This was my first time eating at Wahoo. While the food was fine, the customer service was not good. Won't be going back again.

I always order their Kai Kale Shrimp salad. It’s a little pricey at $13, but it’s filling and healthy. The service is friendly and fast.

Came in with my friends after a competition game and we were looking for something fresh and not so fattening, we got to Wahoo's and ordered their amazing steak, and chicken nachos with black beans and all the goodies in it, and guess what? Price was less than 10.00 dollars, actually was about $8.00 ! We also got their amazing and tasty baja rolls so healthy delicious, restaurant has a very friendly environment and feeling all around, you can enjoy a nice easy summer lunch with friends at this place and then take a walk in the alleys of the eccentric SCP mall!

My absolute favorite veggie friendly place to grab a quick bite. I've been dining @Wahoo's since the 90's before it was popular to be vegan. They've always had something delicious for the vegan/vegetarians to eat. They've since expanded their menu to include mushrooms, tofu, fajitas, etc. as veggie filling options. Love their salsa and Mr. Lee's chili paste. Absolutely delicious and still affordable. Some of the wonderful ladies that work here have been here since this Wahoo's opened. They're always so incredibly sweet.

Food was decent but not anything that makes me want to return more than normal. I like the variety and that is what would make me choose this place over a chipotle when faced with that fork in the road. I do love the theming of the place with decals, surf boards over the more sterile deigns of taco bell and chipotle.We tried carne asada in the citrus burrito and the kalua pig bowl. Added a drink for $20 total which isn’t bad. The meat was over cooked this time but still palatable.

This place is for white people. They substitute spaghetti sauce for red salsa. Not impressed

Wahoo's is a amazing place to eat, I love the cheese fries and their burgers. The building itself is a spectacle with many different TV's to catch some sporty action.

Wahoos is so unique and has the best fish tacos in all of CA. They will give you wahoos stickers if you ask for them, they’re fun to collect and they change every now and then. Fun casual place for the family or friends.

Food wasn't good ! They forgot to put guacamole in my burrito cashier insisted it was there. Someone who worked there was kind enough to bring me some .

I normally like Wahoo's, but not this one. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable--the two side bars are too narrow for me to physically sit all the way back, forcing me to slouch (I'm skinny and it's my hip bones which don't fit.There is one large bench seat for large groups, but it was taken by a single employee on break.Our order came with two napkins (for a family of four with two young kids).The food itself is good, but if I can't even sit comfortably, why would I ever come back?

I love their banzai veggie wet burrito with green sauce. I love the fusion part of it. They have excellent banzai veggie quesadillas, their banzai veggie salad is really good, also the green sauce banzai veggie enchiladas. I have been going to wahoo's for many years. I appreciate the choices they have for vegans and vegetarians.

A cute shack in orange county, the owners have turned a house into a restaurant. It's completely blew! Inside is filled with a bunch of Decour, the place is super clean and there are a lot of tables so I can imagine it gets pretty busy. I was working close by and decided to order some food for takeout. I got there within 10 minutes and the food was ready, fresh and tasted amazing! Can't wait to try them again, if you're a local I'm sure you already know about this place and if you're passing by definitely stop by if you're looking for some fresh Mexican style food
